Changes to speed limits

A number of lower speed limits came into force on 18th March:

​

• The existing 20mph limit on the A232 through Cheam Village now extends all the way through Sutton Town Centre to Westcroft Leisure Centre in Carshalton.

• There are reduced limits in the vicinity of Rosehill: Reigate Avenue (A217) and St Helier Avenue (A297) 40mph to 30 mph; Rosehill roundabout 30mph to 20mph.

On the A217 'Mad Mile' between Belmont and Banstead crossroads the speed limit is due to reduce from 60mph to 40mph later this year.
