The SSNA has been encouraging the use of PayPal and bank transfer for annual subscriptions.Covid has hastened this move from cash.David Hardcastle spoke on behalf of those without smartphones, internet access, etc., who would use either cash or cheques and were concerned if the Association stopped collecting cash.Colin Iddles said that those types of payment were never going to be stopped.

Colin showed the consultation document now being received at homes in the areas that would be affected by the Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP).The document does not include the Cancer Hub and new hospital proposals that also impact on the area.

Steve Morton is keeping the website up to date so events can be followed between newsletters.

Councillor Richard Clifton referred to the White Paper on planning categories (now under review) and the recent possibly major changes that might affect South Sutton including his ward which does not cover the whole of the SSNA area.  He gave as an example that there are a number of recent applications for high rise buildings including one for a 10 storey building on Copse Hill.  This raised the question from Geoff West as to whether the reduction of the number of parking places required for new flats for example 4 places in the planning application for a new block in Cavendish Road?   Richard Clifton said though not mandatory to reduce the numbers, Transport for London (TfL) will comment in favour of reductions in the number of parking places during the planning process.

5 Election of committee members: agreed with no new applicants.

6 AOB: None.

The meeting was followed by a much appreciated cream tea and a welcome opportunity to socialize.
